duty holster for 3" .40 SC?

I'd like to find out what my options are for carrying my XD40-SC as a primary weapon as well as finding a good solution for keeping it as my backup.

1. I work in the private security industry and am about to transfer companies. Although it may sound silly and illogical, I'm thinking about carrying the XD40-SC as my primary duty gun. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any holsters (at least through Safariland and Blackhawk) that fit the 3" XD. Am I out of luck in finding out?

2. Now, I'm not entirely opposed to carrying the company-provided Glock 23 (.40) as my primary (the logical and smarter choice....but I really really like my XD ) but I'd still like to carry my XD40-SC as a backup. For any LEOs or security professionals that carry backup weapons, what's the best way to go about it - ankle, drop leg holster, or what?

The standard blackhawk serpia first the .40 SC, the same one that fits the service size. I just tried it to verify it for you. That's a very safe duty carry holster.

I just picked up a Ross leather belt holster for concealed, oh my goodness, it holds it up HIGH and tight to the body, excellent for concealment.... I love feeling my pistol next to me more than my wife!

My agency doesn't allow backup guns, but if I could carry one, I'd either carry my XD in a velcro holster attached to my vest or a S&W 642 in a pocket holster on my reaction side.

I've got the blackhawk serpa and it works great and holds the 3" fine. With the extended magazine, the 3" would make a fine primary gun.

XD.40 4 inch on strong side, xd.40sc as backup on support side inside pants cargo pocket in a nylon open top holster........can't beat it.....it's easier to get to there than in the vest.

I've got a Bianchi Accumold holster I'm trying to sell. I carried my 3" SC-40 in it for a while as a duty gun at a local court. It worked very well. If you are interested, let me know.
