quick holster question
I have been searching for a concealment holster for my NEW XD 45
I am seeing a lot of holsters that say will fit 9mm and 40 but doesnt list the 45. Is that because its that much bigger, or what? Will these probably fit my 45 or not?

They may fit or they may not, depending on what it is made from. Yes the 45 is a big bigger/thicker than the 9/40.

if its a molded leather/kydex holster it more than likely will not fit.....if it is a nylon type material it should fit.

My comp-tac infidel that I use for my XD 45 compact is labeled as an XD 40/45, so I'd imagine it will fit both, possibly with slight tension screw adjustment.

If it is the 45Compact it will fit, it is the same size as the 9/40.

I have found very few XD 9/40 holster that the XD 45 will not fit. You may need to wrap the gun inside a plastic bag and allow to set in the holster sprayed with shoe Stetch. I have had to do that to most any gun in a new holster. With kydex you simple heat the holster and insert the gun inside a couple plastic bags.

I also had a hard time finding a holster to fit my XD45 service. My need was for OWB carry. My preference was for a Gould and Goodrich 3-slot pancake holster which I have for my XD9. These are for the 9 and 40 and does not fit the XD45. Not available. I settled for a Galco Fletch which works fine for me but was hard to find.
