Shooting Gloves

Does anyone use them and if so what do you recommend?

I got some at Wal*Mart for hunting a couple years ago. They're real thin, camo on the back, black grippy on the palm and fingers. Pretty comfy, very breathable, thin enough to handle reloading a rifle or revolver (pain in the @$$ with gloves on!) Don't know if I need 'em, but I like 'em okay. $15. Can't remember the brand name, but Wally's isn't exactly known for their expansive shooter's selection!

If you do go with shooting gloves you might want to consider putting money into quality ones. I don't shoot with them if I don't have to but Damascus has some nice gloves. They make shooting gloves according to there web sight.

This reminds me of a guy I used to always see at the range. He would always wear a leather glove on his right hand when shooting. I didnt think that was all that strange until I noticed he shot a little .380 auto. lol Thought it was kind of funny.

I thought about a glove, but didn't like the idea of the Michael Jackson look when I'm carrying.

Maybe some use them to keep their guns from getting all greasy or sweaty which could cause some rust? Thats probably stretching it but its a thought.

Only know one guy who wore gloves to shoot. But he had a real good reason. The furnishings on his AK heated up pretty quickly so unless you were wearing gloves you'd have a really warm handshake for a while.

I wore some shooting glove when I was hunting, but that was only because it was so flippin cold and wet. Wind chill+fingers= not comfortable at all.

Tuff guys don't wear glove to shoot, drive, or do the dishes. Neither do I.
