What is the best supressor can for an XD45
Gemtech Blackside, AAC, SWR, Bowers...? Do you need a booster? If you have a booster do you get sprayed with gas sometimes (heard that somewhere)?

I have heard so much trash being talked about the GemTech Blackside's cycling issues I am not sure that I should get one. I would gladly pay more for a can that will function 100% of the time. Granted, the posts were on silencertalk which is owned by AAC, but if there is any truth to them I am severely disappointed. Anyone have any suggestions about a can? if I am going to shell out that much money I want the thing to work.

No one has any input? I am trying to get objective advice and every other website seems really biased

SWR or AAC are the top right now in the big names. There's a few small companies putting out a good product- but AAC and SWR aren't going anywhere. I think(off memory here) the Evo-45 has tested better, but I personally much prefer SWR over AAC.

Personally, I think Gemtech and YHM are probably two of the best buys for the buck.

My friend has a Gem Tech Blackside and he had some issues at the beginning. Now, his Blackside is working properly. I personally don't think you can go wrong with a Gem Tech, AAC, SWR, and AWC.
You should take a look at this guy...he's suppressors have been getting rave reviews. Products I own an Outback II for my 22's and have been impressed with the suppressor. Another friend of mine has the booster from Bowers. I'm not sure if he got it back from Bowers, but that thing is going to be very useful on multiple firearms. Most 45 loads come close to subsonic speeds to begin with, so there could be some cycling issues. |

Why did you prefer the HEMS?
