Hi There

I'm new here. My sister-in-law picled up an XD-9. I like it a lot. I tried out an XD .40 at the range and liked it a bunch. I hope to get an XD.40. The only thing I wasn't so crazy about was the etched/grooved trigger. I don't care for them on my Glocks either. So, I replace them with the smooth triggers. Anybody know where I can find a smooth trigger for the XD pistol? Thanks,

XDME

I think you are speaking of the trigger safety. That is integral to the weapon. I have not heard of any way to change that. I could be wrong but I have never hear anyone looking to remove the safety.

Welcome to the forum. I am a new XD9SC owner and love it!

Oh boy. I am NOT talking about the trigger safety. Please see the picture below:

See how there are linear ridges/groves on the trigger face on either side of the trigger safety. They bug my trigger finger. I prefer a trigger face that is smooth, like the one in the picture below:

Note that the face of the trigger is smooth on either side of the trigger safety.

I had the trigger faces on my Glock changed to a smooth face one. You can get an OEM trigger that way (yes, it comes attached to a new trigger bar). The Glock also has the trigger safety which operates in the same fashion, and cannot be altered. I'm new to XDs, not to guns. I don't think that Springfield makes a smooth face trigger for the XD. Are there any custom shops that make or offer such a thing?

I'm pretty sure most of the XD Talk Sponsors that work on the XD around here already offer that.
