Powder River Precision Striker Safety Lever Kit
This is simply amazing! I just put it in my XD 40SC! It eliminated all the pretravel, the set screw with a little more time spent adjusting could take up all the over travel and reset. as it is, it has reduced my overtravel and reset emensly.
Here is what comes in the kit for 33.75 +2.00 S&H ![]() Here is the new next to the old ![]() Here it is instaled, and the set screw in the frame ![]() Here is my trigger before ![]() Here is the After ![]() anyone looking to fix their trigger this is it! Shipping was fast to! Last edited by Modificationvt : 05-03-2008 at 03:56 PM. |

I will completely agree! I recently installed one in my XD45 Service... it is awesome and the best part was the customer service!!! Did you have to do any filing on your lever? I had to file mine and Daniel walked me through what areas to file and how much... it is great!

The only dificult thing I had to deal with was drilling the frame, none of my drills could fit in there so I ended up hand drilling. I cant wait to get to the range, hopefully tomorrow. |

I see Dan is including the drill with the kit. The guy is Awesome to deal with. I think the frame installed setscrew looks better but I still like being able to adjust without removing the trigger assembly. The difference with this kit is just amazing.

Here is the drill trick I will use as soon as I get my gun back from SA .... I have a Powder River safety lever that came w/ said drill bit. I have a Dremmel w/ a flex shaft ... I have a collet for the Dremmel that perfectly fits the bit and I am betting that slim flexshaft will lay down beautifully on top of the frame .... I will tell you how it works late this week.

OK .... Got my PRP lever kit and over travel stop in. I went the frame screw mod as Daniel recommends ..... Extremely pleased with the quality of the part as it is beautifully machined. The takeup and reset is perfectly GTG. I also put in the match trigger spring and will wait for a while to put in the reduced sear spring.
I tried my Dremmel as a drill trick and feel it is Not sliced bread but I can Not imagine using a regular drill with a normal drill bit. I would think the extra long drill bit would still be the best proviging the least angle to drill. And Rgeliske .... I ended up drilling a fuzz shorter down in the frame than intended and was initially pissed off but, I found I could adjust the set screw w/o taking the frame apart yet enough of the trigger bar hits the screw to stop forward movement. I believe the distance from the top of the frame to the hole location is about .25" Daniel can add comment as needed. He did tell me the drill depth is in fact .25" deep in to the frame. thankyou xdtalk forum and thank you to PRP for your help. Now to shoot it the rest of the season. Drilling the hole at an angle is a good thing. It is much stronger than having the trigger bar push in line with the threads. It also gives you a finer adjustment on the over travel stop. Having the hole drilled at an angle also allows you to adjust the over travel screw without removing the trigger bar, if the hole is drilled in the correct spot. HHJr, The .25" that I was referring to is the depth of the hole...not the location of the hole from the top of the frame. I'm glad that it worked out for you and I'm sorry if I misunderstood your question. ![]() ![]()
