Anthony,
Took a look at your photos. Nice! Wish I would have seen those before Daniel shipped my gun back, I'd have had him recess that top finger on mine. Have that done on 1911s, dunno why it never occured to me to do to my XD.

I put one of these kits in my XD40 service and absolutly LOVE IT!!! Best money you can spend on a XD in my opinion. Of coarse I got one of the kits before all the parts were included, but still worth the money. My friend just bought a XD40SC and I told him this is the first things he needs to get.

Thanks for the compliment! It is a really nice XD, now only if those darn XD(M)'s werent coming out, I think i want one of those now, but owning two XD's seems pointless IMO.

I already have 3 in 3 diff calibers, lengths. I would like one of the Ms in 9mm or 45. Dont' need another big carry gun...but if they release a sub-compact, I'm in.

Tip.
I just got back from shooting with the new trigger, and I guess I had screwed up the set screw placement...the trigger bar was able to just barrely slip under the set screw when the gun fired (something that didnt happen when dry fireing) and this caused the trigger to lock up...so quick fix I thought, Just take the screw out for now....well without the screw the safety lever pushes up too far and causes the trigger to bind again...so make sure you have the set screw set to the right hight! I just got done re drilling my frame and the set screw is now set dead center on the trigger bar, so I will be going to the range again later this week to try it out again.

That sounds like a good reason to have the set screw parallel to the frame and not at an angle.

no, mine was just too high period. its all good now. Just putting it out there, for those that say it should be parralel, next time you take your gun appart take a look where the screw would go, and you tell me, how would you drill the frame so that it is parralel? from what I have been able to tell there just isnt enough room to get a drill bit in there, let alone a drill bit and some sort of drill. |

You can also install it without any trigger stop in place. I bought mine and decided against drilling the frame. I know daniel is in the process of developing a piece to be placed inside of the frame of the gun so no drilling would be required. I just took a small piece of plastic and made a crude trigger stop behind my trigger. I sanded it down to be precisely a tiny bit smaller than the trigger takes to drop the striker. I just double stick taped the trigger stop piece in for now. It sits on the outside of the gun so you don't need to worry about your gun ceasing to fire. And it is a good temporary fix while we patiently await Daniel's other designs. Even if you decided against both, you can still install this lever. The trigger will still benefit from this mod, but pulling the trigger back further than necessary would be the only problem with it. Ant it isn't really a problem, there just isn't anything in place to stop it.
