bar-sto barrel experience?

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with Bar-Sto barrels. My XD as bone stock is not that accurate. I have looked at the bar-sto barrels and have decided on the ported semi-drop in. Would it make much of a drastic differance?

A bone stock XD is accurate. But assuming, and I'm assuming, that you are an experienced shooter with years of experience. I would guess that it has something to do with your barrel lock up. But my first guess is that it's You. Not the pistol. Check out some of Scott Springers videos on his website about proper grip, his website is in my sig line. Or just type in Todd Jarrett on you tube. I don't have experience with Barsto, but Pistol Gears Match barrel on my XD45tac is yes, more accurate.

My Bar-Sto match barrel fitted to my XD9 Tactical significantly improved accuracy at the range. I highly recommend it, but as mentioned above the biggest component in accuracy is the shooter's skill level.

I have a non-ported .357sig barstow in my xd40. I would not consider it a more accurate barrel than the xd. I'd spend the barrel money on ammo, range fees and practice, practice, practice, practice.

I would sight the gun in using sandbags then determine if a barrel swap is needed. I had to change out my .40tac barrel due to REAL bad accuracy problems. Use a barsto match fit not a semi drop in. The fitting is where you maximize the barrels accuracy. A semi drop in is a compromise. Ask Irv for his how to video I am sure he will send it if you buy his barrel.

I have a Bar-Sto barrel in my XD. (Fitted by the Springfield Armory Custom Shop, among other things I had done to it there.) Obnoxiously accurate. Chamber's a little tight and I had a Type IV malfunction a little under three hundred rounds through after I got it back. Ammo was 115-grain WWB. Fed fresh cartridge but the slide didn't return fully to battery. Had to hit the rear of the slide with my palm to get it to close. Cartridge fired fine. Could have been the ammo; haven't had that malfunction since.

All things considered, it's recommended if you think you need the accuracy improvement. The stock XD barrels aren't bad, but you'll get two things from a Bar-Sto barrel over the OEM: better accuracy with certain loads and better accuracy on average with many different loads. They are both selling points in my opinion.

All the work was done by Bar-Sto on my gun. The gun works very good BUT THE SERVICE IS VERY BAD.

Whoa...that's not good.
Are the sights and everything squared away on that pistol?
