Hi, guys! First post.
Been an owner of a Service 9mm for about a year and a half (a 21st birthday present to myself Anyways, I've been in love with the Galco Concealable for my buddy's Glock 22 and I would love to get one for my new SC. I've been searching the threads while waiting for my account to activate and I see that some people vaguely mention that they use the Concealable for their SCs. Will the Concealable fit the SC? How well does it work? Is there a lot of slack at the bottom since it was designed more for the Service or the Tactical? If it doesn't fit, I've been turned on to the Don Hume Open Top by this site. One more question, anybody use a good leather SOB holster for the SC? Thanks in advance for the answers and I look forward to being a member of XD Talk for a long time! |

first, welcome from missouri. I have heard that SOB holsters take your weapon too far out of your control/grasp making it easier for a BG to get it. Personally I've been carrying with the comp-tac minotaur, its tuckable and i think the SC would fit fine. Lots of folks around here reccomend the crossbreed holsters. I will probably try one on my next gun. Would've this time but I was in a hurry. good luck

I can carry either the XD45Compact or the XD40Sub in the Galco Skyops holster very comfortably. still a leather holster, but its tuckable and uses a single "y" clip to hold it to your belt. its IWB, and can be carried in any position, although difficult to cross draw since the cant is not adjustable, fortunately its right for me. I carry it strong side behind my hip, I don't like SOB, not comfortable to me.
It draws the grip very close to the body, the grip sinks right into my lower back and disappears under even just a t-shirt.

IWB just isn't for me. I don't want to have to go buy all new pants to wear my gun.
Currently, I use a Fobus paddle holster with my Service. Obviously doesn't offer much in concealability, but I didn't buy anything better since I've known for a while that I wanted a 40SC. |

At work. Just traded in my Service 9mm and bought a brand new SC .40. I am so excited to shoot it tomorrow. Bumping the topic for one last time to see if anybody knows if that Galco will fit my new SC.
