Galco does not make a Concealable to fit the XDSC

They do make one for the 4" service, the model is CON440 but that will leave about an inch or so of extra holster.

The GLOCK Concealable will not work for the XDSC, I just tested my SC into one for the G19, a G17, too tight for either.

For my XDSC I have a Don Hume 721, it is similiar to the Galco Concealable and about 1/3 the price.

I've got a Galco IWB holster I originally purchased for use with my XD45 service. It also works well for my 9sc. The 9sc and 40sc are essentially identical in size. Not sure the model number. It is soft leather. The only negative is that it is cumbersome to reholster. The soft leather closes up.
But it works for the sc.

As a matter of fact, any holster that works for one XD will, in all likelihood work for all XD's. I have a Don Hume OWB that I got for the .45. It is marked for the .40. Works perfectly for the .45 and the 9sc.

Anyways, I've been in love with the Galco Concealable ...

If it doesn't fit, I've been turned on to the Don Hume Open Top by this site.

One more question, anybody use a good leather SOB holster for the SC?

Thanks in advance for the answers and I look forward to being a member of XD Talk for a long time!
Gee I guess nobody reads or just wants to tell you what they bought
I wouldn't reccomend a SOB.
Galco Concealable info below....................

see you had to remind them, but they still posted about other holsters.

Let's get back to the original post..........GALCO Concealable

Haha!

You're not the only one that noticed that my questions were not being answered.

Thanks so much for the practical info. I decided to buy the Don Hume Open Top for the SC. If that doesn't work out, I may look into other options.

Thumbs up

Just got my Don Hume Open Top today and it's a dream! It keeps my 40SC close to my body whether I wear it at 3 o' clock or 5 o'clock (my typical carry positions). Difficult to notice while wearing a t-shirt despite the fact that it's an OWB holster. HIGHLY recommend!

+1 on the Don Hume 715. I have one for my 4" and the short 715 for my SC. Both are perfect fits and excellent craftsmanship.

Been an owner of a Service 9mm for about a year and a half (a 21st birthday present to myself ) and it's time to upgrade. I am going to trade my 9mm in for a SC 40 since I shoot 40 for work and I would rather have the added concealability of the SC.

Anyways, I've been in love with the Galco Concealable for my buddy's Glock 22 and I would love to get one for my new SC. I've been searching the threads while waiting for my account to activate and I see that some people vaguely mention that they use the Concealable for their SCs. Will the Concealable fit the SC? How well does it work? Is there a lot of slack at the bottom since it was designed more for the Service or the Tactical? If it doesn't fit, I've been turned on to the Don Hume Open Top by this site. I would advise against SOB (small-of-back) holsters for two major reasons:

1) The presence of the pistol creates a fulcrum against your spine, so if you fall on your back = CRACK!
2) Drawing the pistol from such a holster means the angle of aim could sweep your spine. Just an accident waiting to happen.

And now for a true story:

About eight years ago, I knew of this guy working a gun store I frequented. I was asking about concealment handguns and holsters, and he immediately drew a small Glock from his SOB holster. He did this a few times like he was Mister Cool or something.

Anyway, a few weeks later, I visited the same store and saw this guy in a wheelchair. Then on future visits, I didn't see him anymore.

I don't know what happened or if his condition was related to an accidental discharge, but I can only guess.

Just my two cents.

Thanks for the advice.

I'm so happy with my Don Hume (I don't even notice my gun at 3 o' clock) that I'm no longer looking for a SOB holster.
