Thanks to "Powder River Precision"
I ordered and received Basic Kit + Reduced Power Trigger and Sear Springs from:
Powder River Precision After installation, I went to the range to try it out. I had problems before the first magazine was emptied. I called the owner of Powder River Precision, he very patiently listened and then took me through the steps to make the minor adjustments. I attempted to follow his directions precisely. Made another trip to the range and when that failed to successfully resolve the reliability problem, I emailed him. He responded within a couple of hours, during which I went back over the tune-up that he directed earlier. I filed off one-thousandth of an inch from a tab that he had identified as the culprit. His email came later, he offered another possibility and said that if that didn't work, he'd send me a new lever. I felt that I'd already done all that I wanted to do with the gun that day. I was a little bit down. Well, I got up and went to the range at 7:30a.m. I loaded two complete magazines (32 rounds) and unloaded as fast as I could! Not a hiccup one!!! I'm one happy camper!! Smooth trigger, virtually no "pre" or over-travel, with maybe 3.5 to 4 pound pull. It looks like I've got .107 pre-travel and .040 over-travel (a little over 1/8", about the size of the trigger-safety pivot rivet). All of the measurements were made from the same point at the front of the trigger guard. I measured the length of the trigger that's protruding from the frame, then marked the half way point and measured that to the point to where it stops without the grip safety depressed, then to the end of travel, after I depressed the safety. Do those measurements indicate anything, other than I've got a very short overall trigger pull? My gun is now, officially, a "Powder River Precision XD9"!

Glad to hear all worked out. Its cool to know that you still have a few companies out there willing to stand behind their products.

I could not agree more. Not only is Dan at Powder River a great guy to work with his Safety Lever kit may be the best kit available to do an in home trigger job. In addition he supplies the setscrews to modify the trigger bar to reduce the trigger reset.
