For example if I've been traveling and am walking downtown in Chicago (or wherever) wearing shorts and a t-shirt, I'd rather have the gun in my bag where it's more concealed. especially since Chocago is the windy city
What I mean is Chicago and even the state as a whole prohibits Concealed carry. Hell your luckly to have a "pre ban" handgun in Chicago. The way you wrote that it sounded like you lived in Il.

Nope, I live in Texas. I just used that as an example cuz my parents went there a few weeks ago so it was the first thing that came to mind... Sorry!

The best thing I've found is the Uncle Mike's computer case. It's got a side pocket that velcros at the top, and has a velcro holster you can move around inside. Works great, unless you're in the elevator with a gun guy, who starts going "hey.....Uncle Mike's? What are you up to....?"

Oh yeah........I think it was $29.

Where did you get the Uncle Mikes computer case? And is that actually what it's called because I'm having a hard time finding it...

I know I've seen these before, but of course I can't find them now...go figure. But here are a few to look at:

This one is really high dollar, but if you had cash to burn would be great:

Brigade Quartermasters Ltd.

This one would probably work, it seems to have enough pockets, velcro, zippers, etc:

Brigade Quartermasters Ltd.

Hope those help.

I'm glad to see this thread, its made me realize that I may have to just add a holster to my bike messenger bag. I dont mind using my IWB holster when biking around town, but Ive been wanting a bag that can CC while allowing for quick easy access for when i do long/over nite bike rides.

from what I can see all the bags posted here they all seem office oriented, not bike oriented.
