Gun Safe

Hi, I bought my son a well made gun vault that cost about $60 at Walmart. It can be bolted to the floor and will hold one or two pistols and some ammo. It is made with heavy gauge steel and would keep out children and a thief bent on a quick break and grab. If you buy more guns you will end up with a safe. Enjoy the XD, its a great pistol.

I have a gunvault like the one linked above. I like it so far. I have a wall mounted one and one to take on trips and such. It is nice you can change your code. I do it every so often. The alarm is weak though.

Yep,

Digital gun safe bolted to the table, and make sure to use a nice LONG passcode.

Kids are smart, and they WILL get into things. With the proper precautions you can keep your XD out of your daughter's hands, at least until she's old enough to use it properly

I purchased a "Gun Vault 2000 Deluxe Multi Vault" (GV2000C-DLX MultiVault) for $112.50 from ETS is your premier internet discount retailer for high quality tactical gear and outdoor products at wholesale pricing. it was the best price that I found anywhere and just right for a nightstand. I love it.

I have the GunVault as well. It's a quality piece.
(Gun Vault - San Bernardino, CA) GunVault - Safe to Armed in Seconds! - Multi Safe
Got it for $95 at Sportsmans Warehouse.

The only thing I dont like is that if part of your combination includes two buttons at once, it is very picky about getting those two buttons at exactly the same time. This becomes a little difficult as the buttons are pretty stiff. I have switched to all single button pushes, but a little longer code.

You could also put it up high on a shelf she cant reach, then incase you need it quick (someone breaks in) your not messing with the codes
