Had it on there a while, then took it off one day cleaning and never put it back on. Thought the stock grip was feeling better.

Mine tended to twist. A little grip tight helped that, but it just wasn't for me. It just didn't feel like a part of the gun. But they're inexpensive, so if you decide you don't like it, not a large loss,,,maybe 25 rounds of ammo worth of cash.

I have/Had one.. I loved the way it felt. But I took it off because it rubbed my back funny when in the crossbreed. The gun itself didnt rub me as much without it.
I still have it and probably will put it back on and try it again someday.
But as far as the grip goes It was great other than I got a fat roll it wanted to rub on lol.

hogue grip sleeves/reviews for xd45 compact?

Put a large one on my 45 Compact and will be putting one on my 9 mil Service.

A trick I learned on this Forum is to fit the grip trim cut etc, then wipe inside of slip on grip and gun grip with rubbing alcohol then put a light coat of hair spay on both slip the grip on and let it sit overnight. it keeps the grip in place and if the grip starts to move sweat etc just repeat the same as the first time works great.

I use the Pachmayer grip on my XDs. I didn't care much for the feel of the hogue. On my XD 40 SC I just slipped it on and trimmed around the grip safety never any problems. On my XD 45 C I put the decal rubber grip on and slid the Pachmayer grip over it and trimmed to fit and it feels awesome to me just perfect in my hand and it doesn't move a bit.

What size do you buy for the 45 compact? Large or Small?
