Tactical Vest and Holster...

As you can tell by my signature that I don't have my XD... YET. Saving up and going to buy it in about a month. My following purchases that I want is a tactical vest and a tactical holster. This is the vest I want:

As you can tell it has the vest holster on the right side. Has anyone worn a vest like this AND a tactical holster with a second sidearm? Typically for this vest you have an AR-15 with you and the pistol is back-up. Even though you'll be carrying around a lot of gear does anyone have this type of vest, a tactical holster with another gun, and and AR-15? If you're military, probably, right?

Just wondering. Thanks.

I don't really have anything to add...besides that I think it's pretty cool. If they made one in "big big man" size I would snag one!
Maybe you should snag an ar15 to make it complete!

Used a similar type of set up. Very handy if you the driver of the vehicle makes it easier to get to your gear like that. Shouldn't be a problem to double up with a tac holster.

Good lookin' vest. Who makes it and where can it be found?

Cheaper Than Dirt has it:

VEST-160 - Deluxe Tactical Vest BLACK Premium Features One Size - Manufactured by: Leapers

I like it because it is the only one that has the walkie-talkie up by your left ear. I found the same vest, the EXACT same vest, for $104 on a different site. This one is $50, a $54 savings.

I have the same tac vest in earth tone. I like it my only concern was the straps the pistol holster is attatched to look like they could come loose with time and wear; and there is some play, the holster with the gun in it wobbles a little on the vest further causing me to belive the stitching will come loose.

Man, that is the ULTIMATE home defense vest right there. I can see it now......

Some BG breaks into your house looking for the goods and you bust outta the bedroom in nothing but a 12 Gauge, XD, Tact Vest and junior just a swingin'.

Seriously though, for tactical work, they are nice, but what are you seriously looking to use that for? Only thing outside of mil / security / tac work might be as an uber-cool hunting vest.

And yes I've used them. They are okay, but nothing is moveable on them. And if you wear body armor, especially the plates, it starts getting a bit large to reach all the way over to grab those M16 / M4 mags on the opposite side.

If you really want a super cool guy vest, then get a plain MOLLE vest and then you can add all the pockets, holster, knife sheeths, mag pouches, flash light pockets, first aid pockets, throwing stars, daggers, Super Soaker 300 and all the other mall ninja stuff you want and put it where you want.
