Crimson Trace LOTS OF PICS!! XD40SC
Got the CT in finally. Pistol Gear (PISTOLGEAR | YOUR ONE-STOP SHOP FOR ALL THINGS PISTOL) is friggen awesome. Arrived within a few days from initial order. For the photographers that complain about the white balance (myself included) I was taking pics on my point and shoot camera next to a fish tank, hence the blue glow. Anyways, on to the pics!
Before: So plain... ![]() For the ones curious about the change in thickness of the grip... The before: ![]() No pictures of the installation. But its stupidly simple. Installed ![]() ![]() The grip AFTER the installation ![]() Side By side of Original Grip and the CT Grip. This picture is so valuable for the people thinking of purchasing the CT Lazaaaaaaa ![]() Finished Product: With Pearce Extension ![]() ![]() Close Up of the Activation Button and Master on/off Button The Grip added some girth to the front of the grip. The meat of the middle part of your middle finger does the activations and you really cant "control" the activation of the button. Which is a good thing, cuase when you want it on, you just simply grip the gun. Dont even need to think about it, unless of course youve turned OFF the Master switch. haha. Oh, the master switch is actually the button looking thing above the CTC emblem. ![]() ![]() You probably wont find this picture anywhere else. I was curious as to how much further and "bulkier" the ass end of the CT laser made the pistol. I figured it might have gotten in the way. But I dont know yet for sure till I get it into a concealed carry holster. Otherwise, it doesnt look too substantial ![]() Ultimately, Im really happy with my purchase. If I decide to remove the laser, its not difficult. I hope it fits into the concealed holster that Im still waiting on. Hopefully, the few that have the CT laser and carry concealed might be able to chime in. I know it was difficult to concealed carry, but with which holsters? I had a worry that my index finger might be in the way of the laser once activated. Well, even when my index is extended along the pistol at rest or when its on the trigger, It doesnt get in the way at all. The grip did add some girth around the overall grip. This was actually welcoming for me as it felt more "round" and "curved" allowing a seemingly secure grip over the weapon. My long slender fingers made the stock grip feel too rectangular. As if there were gaps or holes in my grips. The CT laser solved that. Time to go to the range and put some rounds through this bad boy. Im sure Ill still need to tweak the laser a bit once I get to the range. Let me know if you guys want more, closer or detailed pics. I can take my time with them and actually take some decent ones for you guys. |

My only question to do with compatibility with ccw holsters. It looks like it would be a problem with the Crossbreeds. And, unfortunately I am limited to just one firearm at the moment. So I wouldn't have the luxuary of having the CT on a home weapon and being able to carry another.
