XD High Cap Mags
I know they make 31 rounders for glocks but has anyone done anything like that for the XD's yet? Preferably in 40 cal

PROMAG makes a big stick for the XD, however in 9mm. Some guys have had good luck with them, I prefer the OEM mags. Nothing to knock PROMAG, as I have their product and they never caused me trouble. I just prefer the quality of the OEM mag.

Thanks Old School.... Is there any reason they dont make them in 40 cal? I wasn't to worred about it being none OEM as it would just be for the range. Kinda would be hard to wear in a IWB holster

The body of the mags are the same. 9mm will always hold a few more rounds than the .40SW and 357SIG.

what do you mean, by the body of the mags of both the 9mm and .40 are the same? Does that mean I can purchase that magazine and it will work in my XD40?

The tube of the mags are the same dimension. The differences are in the feed-lips, the followers, and baseplate. In the "old days", it was common for folks to purchase 40 mags and run 9mm through them, for added capacity.
If you want to run 9mm through 40 mags, you may need to tweak the lips a bit, however in most cases, they run fine without any modification.
