Yes you can use the Springer trigger bar with this part.

No you can't use the Springer sear.
I wonder if this will work if Scott has done the trigger work himself and not the drop in sear.

No if Scott already did the trigger job it won't work. You can't add this mod to a gun that has had pretravel modified by changing the sear, or trigger bar.

Why would you want to add the PowderRiver mod to a gun with a trigger job?

Just to try it.

The "area" of change that makes Scott's trigger jobs remove pretravel, is the same thing that this part does, so if you put both of them in you'll have "too much of a good thing" and your sear won't go up enough to engage the striker or release the grip safety. So you'll have a gun with the grip safety always depressed and won't ever cock.

quick question on this subject: Does this mod change with weight of the trigger as well as decrease the amount of take up or does it just effect the length of take up? Does it effect the location of the trigger break in anyway? I'm very interested in removing some of the take up without lightening the trigger. I feel that a heavier trigger on a self defense weapon is safer than one with a hair trigger.

This mod removed probably 98% of the takeup. In order to decrease the trigger pull, you would have to lighten the sear and or trigger spring. I think this would be a great mod for a carry gun. Im going to pick up another one for an XD9 I have and start carrying it on occasion.

Sounds liike exactly what I'm looking for. It also requires that you use an adjustable trigger bar (With set screw) like the one shown in the picture correct? Where can I pick one of those up at. I'm pretty mechanically inclined but I really don't have the equipment to drill and tap the stock one.

I will drill your trigger bar and install a screw for $15.00+sh
on the 9mm and 40cal's, I like to put the screw in the frame and offer this service for $25.00+sh

This sounds just like what I want. I have the Spring kit installed, but want to fix the pre and overtravel. I am going to be getting one very soon. Thanks for all the info and great video and pic's ichy_trigger!!
