Powder River Precision Drop In Trigger Job WOW
The drop in trigger job part from Powder River Precision is a safety lever that allows you to reduce most of the pretravel (take up) your XD has.
This is an easy way to reduce pretravel on your XD and it also doesn’t require that you alter the striker safety or add over travel in order to eliminate light primer strikes. When used in conjunction with an over travel fix, like a drilled and tapped trigger bar, or the Springer trigger bar it comes pretty close to a custom trigger job in results. It took me about 15 minutes to install the part and required no fitting on the part it's self. I did have to adjust the over travel on my trigger bar to compensate for the change in trigger break. With this part installed your trigger engages the sear sooner so you need to adjust the trigger bar to stop the trigger from traveling too much after the sear releases the striker. I took gun out to the range after installing the part and it functioned flawlessly, with no light primer strikes and a nice short trigger. I highly recommend this option for a do it yourself trigger job. ![]() Close up of the part. ![]() The safety leaver installed. ![]() The overtravel screw. ![]() Here is a video of the new part installed on my XD. http://s212.photobucket.com/albums/c...urrent=039.flv New video with before and after. http://s212.photobucket.com/albums/c...rent=Movie.flv
