kinda an off topic question but how thick is the regular spandex part? When wearing under armour type shirts that are tight on me, I can typically see through them and see my skin/chest hair. This has always prevented me from wearing them (in white) as an undershirt. Yours doesnt appear to be this way in the pics, but I figured I would ask.

Eh... You can kinda see. Its not like a regular cotton shirt where you cant see at all though. You can see skin tone alittle through it. But...that shouldnt make too much of a difference because you should have a cover shirt over it.
The parts that stretch the most are the ones that show the most skin tone. But up near the top of the chest and neck, its not stretched as much, thus making it harder to notice. You cant really pick out anything on me though... Like chest hair or things like that. Im not a real hairy guy though so... Have you tried the black one? Those would probably show much less. J. |

I think it would be extremely good for tucked in shirt situations (corporate world) when the clips on an IWB could cause alarm. Thanks!

You know, I really like this rig - I might have to get a pair of these - I work in IT, and there is no easy way to conceal - plus I'm a a large frame guy - If I carry at 4, I either print really bad, or it hits the arms of my chair. It's also against company policy to carry, so if I do carry, I need to make sure that I don't print at all - I cannot afford to loose my job....
Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Im not a fan of v-necks at all... All I can think of is sylvester stallone in every movie.. haha. Its all personal preference...but its definetly cool they make them in both styles.
As for size, go to 5.11's actual website. They have a size chart. You'll need to take your chest measurement. Be honest with it...Dont puff out or stand funny. Just measure it completely relaxed. Better yet have someone else do it. Thats what I did... And it said I was a Large. Now...I was leary about that, because I almost always buy XL stuff. The fact that its stretchy made me feel better though. Im glad I went with a L though, because an XL might not have held the gun in place so nice. So Ide say just go by the chart. J. |

I had a brainstorm fellas. I own four of the standard tactical 5:11 shirts. The have two velcro document pockets along the button line. It would not be hard at all to open the seam at the back of the pocket, to gain access to the t-shirt holster.
What ya think?
