Excellent customer service, have to share

This one might be long, but here goes.

Back in November, I put my XD on layaway at a local shop. I had seen on here that the accessory kits are an awesome deal, but no one had them in stock. I googled around for someone who sold them and stumbled across www.gilbertgunworks.com. I ordered a 9mm kit from them and waited for a week. Long story short, the web page was linked to their distributor that also linked to about 800 stores, and it only updated every 15 minutes. Because these kits are so popular, the 4 that were in stock were sold out by the time my order processed.

I talked to Brian, and he promised to try everything in his power to get one from his distributors. I waited patiently for a solution. He was able to get a .40 kit in stock, but not the 9mm. His plan was to order 9mm magazines and swap them with the 40s. I told him that the 9mm could use 40 mags if he wasn't able to get all 3 in soon (this was December by this time). I finally got my package on January 2.

I opened the package, and in the kit were a 9mm mag and 3 .40 mags. "Cool, an extra mag", I thought. There was also an appology for not getting the 9mm mags in stock on the receipt. Then, under the kit in the box, I found 2 9mm mags still in their retail packages. I called Brian, and he said they showed up at the same time he was shipping my package, so he cut the package open to put in the mags before he shipped it out. He also said Merry Christmas.

Wow. It took a little longer, but I got 3 extra mags with my kit. Awesome. I know it's important to support our sponsors, but if they have something the sponsors don't carry, check them out and give them a call.
