trigger kit and grip safety
hey guys, love the board, learn tons each day about the xd...
i have the 9mm subcompact, and i had the springer trigger kit installed...was marveling about the better trigger pull, but then was shocked to notice that the grip safety doesn't engage anymore, the trigger can be pulled without pushing the safety in, in fact, it just sticks in the well and doesn't protrude out at all... any ideas as to what may have happened and how to correct the situation? |

Nevermind, we figured it out.
During disassembly, I tapped the grip safety pin a couple times, then decided I didn't need to remove it. Turns out the uncentered pin was enough to skew things up w/ the grip safety and spring. A couple taps w/ the ol' punch solved everything. |

the pin or too much metal on the tab that the disconnector grabs as the sear rotates to drop the striker.
