The official PLEASE COME BACK K-MAN thread.

Well, I just can't let sleeping dogs lay. Especially since on my holster search I first hand checked out over 30 different models from different makers. What did I end up doing? I went with K&D due to recommendations on this forum about quality.

I received my dakota and gun belt today and I can honestly say that you will not find a better quality leather holster no matter how long and hard you search. Sure there is a wait time, but with anything this good you have to wait and I'm telling you that the wait was well worth it.

Now, for some reason Kevin has decided not to support the XD anymore. I don't know why, I don't care why, all I know is that I want another K&D holster and I really want Kevin to reconsider this decision.

Kevin,
If it is lack of tools - I'll pitch in to buy new ones.
If it is leather - I'll skin the cow.
If it is the difficulty in molding - I'll melt every slide that comes to you beforehand.
If it is the way some people have treated you on here - Well I can't do anything about people, but I can say that anyone who gave you sh!t about waiting for a holster is a fool.

I know myself that I got very anxious and I did ask a few times when I could expect it, but hey I knew what I was getting. That is a hard wait. It's like ordering a Ferrari and waiting for it to show up in your drive way.

So, do what you wish with your business. I respect your decisions (not that my opinion matters that much) and I am sure everyone else here will as well. But don't expect those who have held your product in hand not to ask you to PLEAAASSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEE make me one more holster!

Is he still making holsters and just choosing not to be a forum sponsor anymore or has he given up making them?

He was at the top of the list to make a holster or two for me for my XD and 1911...

This was rough news for me today. I had spent at least a month researching holsters for cc. After looking at countless websites I decided on a dakota defender and belt from Kevin. It seemed to meet all my needs for comfort, dependability, price, not to mention they just look sweet. I came to this decision over a week ago and on a tablet on my desk is the name K&D holsters with all the info and phone#. After the first of the year was going to put the order in. Even though this gives me an excuse to buy a new gun I really want to cc my XD.

Noone but you knows the reasons behind your decision. But I would ask you to reconsider.

Steve

I really want a cochise now. I am so thoroughly impressed with my dakota that I really want to order a cochise and honestly I don't feel comfortable settling for less.
