Green Laser?

Hello Everyone,
Does anyone know if there is a green laser in existance that will fit the XD Sub Compact. Also does anyone know the official name of the small picatinny rail that is on the XDSC? Thank you everyone for your help in advance.

I wish. Actually they are making a green rail mounted laser. I would guess that the internal is next but they haven't announced an internal green.

Just out of curiosity... What are the benefits of a green laser?? Just easier to see, or can you see it at longer distances?

The eye is much more sensitive to the wavelength at "green", so for the same milliwatt legal limit it will appear brighter and be visible at a longer range for equal conditions.

Right. Green is the easiest color for the human eye to see.

I emailed them a few days ago (Friday) asking about an internal green version, hopefully I'll hear back from them soon (and will report here.) It's not much of a re-engineering job to swap diodes, so I can't imagine it will be delayed too long (unless for political reasons to avoid irritating people who just bought the red over the holidays.)

Just got a response from LaserMax.

So, there you have it.
