I just received my new Crossbreed Supertuck deluxe. I love it. It is very comfortable straight out of the box. I can't find anything I don't like about it.

I like my Crossbreed Supertuck because it's functional. I don't care much about fine crafted leather when the whole thing is tucked into my jeans. It's a concealed item. I don't see the logic there. The leather/Kydex combination of the Supertuck makes for a very thin holster. I do not like adding a whole lot of bulk to my already thick XD40SC even if it is of $1,000 fine crafted leather by a person with 1,000 years of experience. The $0.75 Kydex body makes the draw really easy. Tight leather requires the draw to be done at a precise angle. I have an all Kydex holster I use for IDPA and I normally draw and reholster my XD9Service about 20-30 times a match and holster wear is hardly noticeable. You have to be looking for the wear to see it. Even then, why worry about holster wear on a carry pistol? If you want to keep your pistol looking new, keep it in the safe forever.

Long Rider-
I have heard nothing but great things about the Crossbreed products. In fact, I can't remember reading a bad review EVER. I recently went with an MTAC solely b/c i could get the additional bodies for multiple guns (basically, i'm a cheap a$$). I like the MTAC but i swear that I'll own a crossbreed holster once i'm out of school. Crossbreed products are top notch and they're a forum sponsor to boot. If you think it's so easy, go on out and make those kits and see what happens. I have no doubt that people will continue to support crossbreed and go for the "sure thing": a high quality holster. |

IMHO, the High Noon holster is a much better holster.

I ordered my crossbreed supertuck deluxe last monday and it arrived today. I'll give my opinion of it when I get home.
The post a few above talking about functionality vs appearance is spot-on in my book. Last edited by buddy lee; 10-29-2007 at 02:59 PM. |

I just placed my order for a Crossbreed for my XDSC .40 TICK TOCK TICK TOCK
Looking at the plethroa of reviews it came down to the nice comfortable feeling most every reviewer gave them, the simplicity of the material, the adjustability of the fit and the price. Can't say I didn't do the research so that was it for me, the right package at the right price. |

I generallay stay out of conversations regarding my holsters unless I am directly asked a question, however I can't help but notice that you seem to have a specific gripe about my poducts. For some reason you seem to have taken it upon yourself to hop all about this board (and possibly others) bashing my holsters in a very sidelong and subtle way. It's obvious you don't care for the style and that is OK, to each his own. I don't remember ever forcing you to give me any money, so how are you harmed by the fact that many, many, many customers are quite satisfied with my holsters and I have more repeat customers than I care to count. Allow me to make a few observations and ask a question or two. Do you own a CrossBreed, or have you ever worn one? Why are you so passionate about thier appearance and simplicity? I have made it clear from day one that I never intended these rigs to be pretty, they are intended only to perform a function well and do it for a very long time. They do what they are intended to do very well. If it's so easy to make them why are you not running your own holster business? There really is more to them than you think. As far as workmanship or quality of materials, just because the materials are simple does not mean they are inferior. Just becasue the appearance is simple and plain does not mean the workmanship is inferior. If workmanship or materials were an issue I don't think I would still be in business with a LIFETIME warranty and a two-week-try-it-free gaurantee. The laws of economics would have crushed me with returns and repairs if the product were inferior. I have to wonder why you have such a bias against my holsters. You can say you are "just curuios" but it is clear that you are very subtly attempting to bash my products. Are you a shill for another maker? You seem to pop up alot in threads regarding one particular maker? With all due respect if you don't like my products that's totally fine, not every one does. However, most folks who don't like them, don't go out of thier way to hunt down threads about them and bash them. Why are you doing it? Finally, we have more than tripled in sales in about 14 mos, we currently recieve about 300-400 orders a month at an average sale of $60.00 or so. Do the math for yourself tell me if an inferior product would experience such a growth curve? (And by the way, even during such a growth curve our delivery times have been reduced to about 2-3 weeks.) I am honestly just asking what your beef is and would appreciate honest answers to these questions, I have sat idly by long enough while you continue to run down my product. Thanks for your time. |

I'm certain that anyone with a search function can pop around the internet and find the same people praising your holsters. That's just the nature of the business. Live with it. I have no shills for K&D Holsters. The next time you want to ask such questions, please direct them to me, as I'd be more than happy to answer them for you. Quality of the product used to make your holster does make a difference for long term use and durability. So make sure you know the quality of the leather you're using. When you hiked your prices not too long ago and claimed it was due to a doubling of price of the leather, that certainly got my attention. I know the prices I pay for the premium leather did not double. So I did some research. Guess which grade of leather was the only one that experienced that doubling of the price? I'll let you answer that question. I already know the answer.

Well guys... I appreciate the comments and suggestions. I have ordered the High Noon Closing Argument, although if my CCW comes in anytime soon, I may go ahead and pick up a CrossBreed as well.
