Question A-Zoom SnapCaps.. did I just waste my money?

I bought some SnapCaps and put them in an empty magazine, by themselves. I start shooting the gun, and I know that the slide won't move b/c there is no explosion. On the other hand, after I manually ejected the first SnapCap, the 2nd one didn't load properly... it kept happening for some of the 3 left in the mag.

Is this normal behavior for SnapCaps?!

Thanks

Only load one snap-cap and fire. Then just pull the slide back about 1" or so, just enough to reset the firing pin without ejecting the snap-cap. When you wear out that snap-cap then just throw it away and use another one.

Keep the gun pointed towards the ground when you rack it that 1".

If you are using the same caliber snap cap as the wheapon then it should eject and feed the next cap...just like you were firing the gun. Make sure when you rack the slide you pull it all the way back fast then let it go. Don't do it slow and don't ride the slide back with your hand.
Should cycle

They are basically dummy rounds that allow you to either practice your trigger pull without dropping the firing pin on an empty chamber, or can be used by randomly inserting in a loaded magazine during practice to see if you are flinching when you shoot.

If you are using them on your XD you probably wasted your money since the XD can be dry fired without harm to the striker. I have to use them on my Keltec P3AT since that gun does not like to be dry fired. Problem is that A Zoom .380 snaps are very hard to get your hands on these days for some reason.

+1 (You gotta "rip it" with snap caps)

The other benefit of them is to do ball and dummy drills or fix a flinching problem.
