XD Conversion Options
I have a XD .357 Sig (Service Model) and I'm contemplating my options RE: conversion barrels. From what I gather, I can go from .357 to .40 and 9MM (still don't understand how the larger extractor works with the smaller 9MM case head, however). The .40 and .357 mags are obviously interchangeable, and if I read previous threads correctly, the same mag may also be usable with 9MM. Of course the objective is a 3-caliber firearm. Does anyone have any experience in this endeavor? Are there any pitfalls to consider? Any particular vendors for conversion barrels to recommend?
