wanna get some work done to my XD, where to send it?

I believe the factory will redo the coating on the side for you. And you can also have them do whatever other work you want done.

It depends on what finish you want on it. There is someone who specializes in doing exactly the type of finish that you want... Whichever that may be.
Do you want it black or silver? That's a good place to start. |

+1.......I would first contact Springfield before I sent it to someone else...Afterall, who knows MORE than SPringfield about your XD??? That's my two cents.

If you like the two-tone look, get it hardchromed at http://trippresearch.com/
They do great work.....and it's very durable. This is where Springfield sends pistols for hardchrome.

i want it to be black, i'm thinking about doing the slide black with silver controls, i've already got the DGR and a polished barrel
how about these guys, they can do my slide for $55 (not sure how much extra the controls cost) and they've got the sights and will install them for free http://www.xd-hs2000.com/

Do you want the black to wear well? If so Tripp, Robar, or Ion Bond are the way to go. At Tripp you could get Cobra Coat with Hardchrome accents. If you go with Robar, you can get the RoGuard with NP3 accents. Ion bond does a nice black.
We do KG Guncoat. It is cheaper than the really good coatings, but wears faster, hence the price differences. |

Then sounds like Tripp Research or Robar would be the way to go if you want to do it ONCE.
