Conversion barrels... am I missing something?

I've read in this forum several times that conversion barrels aren't available for the 3" subcompact series.

When I look at the EFK site, I find what I think are 3" conversion barrels. I'm wanting a 9mm conversion for a .40 SC.

Isn't this what I need (2nd from the top) at this link: https://www.efkfiredragon.com/products.php?cat=37&pg=2

I'm confused. Maybe it's just a very new product?

Question ?????

Well here is description, right from the vendor.

I have not seen any other posting, personally,
about this particular for real conversation.

Perhaps someone will jump in that has ordered
and used this barrel.

Ed

XD Sub Compact 9mm Conversion

Standard Barrel

THESE ARE SOME OF THE FINEST PISTOL BARRELS MADE IN THE WORLD!

Because of the care exercised in manufacturing and unwillingness to compromise on any step of the process.
  • We use the finest material available (type 416 Stainless Steel)
  • Machining processes are accomplished on CNC equipment for close-tolerance production.
  • Heat treating is done in a vacuum furnace for clean, consistent hardness of 43-45Rc
  • Barrels are bored and rifled using ECM process (electro chemical machining). This process produces greater accuracy (+/- 50 millionths of an inch) and a superior finish (16 RMS or better). It also creates less stress button, broach cutting, resulting in a more accurate barrel with greater durability.
The end result is a good-looking, top-quality barrel with consistent, accurate and long-lasting performance. And don't forget the service. We deal with our customers on a personal level to ensure their complete satisfaction on all of our products.

Threading is available for an extra $60 and will extend the length of the barrel about 1/2". Choosing the threading option makes the barrel a "Special Order" item - please allow extra time to fill your order.

A half-inch extension (no threading) is available for an extra $15. Choosing the 1/2" extension option makes the barrel a "Special Order" item - please allow extra time to fill your order.

***When a barrel contains the word "conversion", it means these barrels work only in 40SW and .357. They will also convert to 9mm.

You cannot go from a 9mm to a 40SW or 357Sig
Yes, you can use the same mag in Glock and Sig Sauer.

***Only in Sig 239 you have to use 9mm to convert

For best results in XD 9mm Conversion, use a 9mm mag.

Thanks for bringing in the actual item description Ed. I should have done that in the first place.

Arrow

Surely someone on forum has tried out this
newer barrel!

I just put one on order and will test it before
I sell off the XD9SC. There will be no need
for it for the whole machine.

Ed this thread doesn't seem to be getting any action in here. Would this topic be eligible to be moved to general?

I was waiting for the one from PistolGear (not a SC for me tho), never even thought about looking elsewhere.

It would be interesting to hear of any differences, or range reports on either one.
