If you have a full size backpack with sternum strap and waist support, how do you carry an XD in concealment?
Considered thigh rig, but it's not concealed. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks,

Why would you care about concealing it in the woods unless your talking about carrying illegally in national parks.
I hike alot and have mounted my holster under the lid flap horizontal with the grip facing me. (internal frame Northface pack), I call it the over the head holster! It acutally worked pretty well. Foon |

(think shot placement!) Now I'm much more prepared with an XD45c/10+1. My current CCW, and don't find any problem whatsoever. My Galco IWB holster fits the belt just before the waist padding begins (TNF internal frame backpack) , about 12-1 o'clock. KT P3AT in pocket as BUG. mrwildroot

How about a shoulder holster cross draw with a long sleeve button up for cover.

Sounds the best to me. I've concealed under the padded belt of the pack before... not the most comfortable, but all I'd have to do is release the buckle, pull up the shirt and go... It increases my draw time by a few seconds, but is still relatively accessible. And there is no way in H-E-double-hockey-sticks that anyone would see it. joe

Thanks all, you have given me a few options to think about. Fanny may work and an idea for some type of over the sholder sling contraption for easy access.
