Anyone have any suggestions for a good shoulder holster, for my XD9SC?

If you go with the Miami Classic, I suggest "Black" as it hides a little better.

The classic Miami Classic is a great choice if comfort is not high on your list but the narrow shoulder harness can be a bit too much for a long day. The newer Miami Classic II uses a harness with wider straps across the shoulders, much like the SSII wide comfort harness, and is much, much more comfortable. Also, the mag carriers carry the mags horizontally and that places them much more advantageously than the old inverted, flapped mag carriers of the Miami Classic.

You can add some custom touches to your shoulder rig by using a UCII ammo carrier that carries 2 horizontal mags and a flashlight or you could opt for a Quad that carries 4 horizontal mags.

Just be aware that, regardless who you buy from, Galco shoulder rigs do not come with tiedowns but we highly recommend tiedowns and they are an optional extra that you shouldn't be without.

personally I wouldn't recommend a shoulder holster, but like about everyone esle I tried one. Had the Galco Miami Classic, as mentioned get the tie downs for both sides.

Thanks for the replies. I have a Crossbreed Super Tuck that when I wear it, it pinches/pushes against something in my leg and makes it numb. Maybe, I should adjust the clips some. I dunno.

mvician: You wouldnt suggest a shoulder holster...what would you suggest?

Try repositioning your holster......I prefer OWB holsters, rare ocassion I'll use an IWB.

The reasons I didn't like the shoulder holster was 1 the thumb strap retention, 2 the weight of a full size 1911 and 2 spare mags and 3 the sweep of the body as you draw.

My local dealer said that Galco isn't all that great for them to sell....they don't give them much of a cut rate, so there's not a lot of profit. They reccomended that I find one online. However, the price on the link above is more than the local price.

Anybody know of a cheaper price somewhere else?

I have one as well. I wear it daily going to and from work. I suggest getting the optional tiedowns. otherwise, the shoulder straps will shift the weight of the weapon and mags on you neck and will get uncomfortable. I use the shoulder rig mainly for going to and from work, but I also wear it occasionally during the winter while off duty with a big jacket. I wont zip up the jacket I just use the snaps.

Baby crying gotta go
