My TruGlo TFO front fiber optic fell out tonight...

I tried to glue it back in with some mixing glue I had; I guess we'll see if it works.

Good idea; however, this glue I have is like cement once it's set up. It's the kind where you have to mix the two liquids together, they get fairly warm, and then "bond" the materials together. Hopefullly I didn't melt the fiber optic! LOL That would just give me a reason to get a Dawson front sight...

Yet another example of why I don't think fiber optic sights are ready for carry/duty use (yet)

I'm thinking really hard about investing tritium sights on two XD45's. I can't make up my mind. I'd like to shoot the enterprise arms and suresight but I may just have to do trijicon out of history. Ahhhhh! decisions decisions!

Help! Who has shot all of the above!

Same thing happend to me on Monday. My front sight Just got out of the place. I realized it when i was shooting the last round but it was too late. It was gone already. It took some time for me to find it as shoot at an outdoor range. I used gorilla glue to put it on. Also these are my second sights. First ones, one of the back caplet went blank on me after a week.

Happened to me too a few weeks back... was gonna send them back too, but after toying around with different ideas, I ended up taking another forum member's advice and simply using some DevCon Crystal Clear 5-minute epoxy ( ~$3 - can be had at Walmart or some Home Depots) and it works great... holds for about 1 ton under stress/high temp & doesn't discolor the plastic FO tubes like most yellow epoxies.

Be sure to read up first on your chosen glue's (or even the Gorilla glue) properties/uses under high temperatures & stress!

hope this helps!

I used a dab of Super Glue on mine.

If it falls out again I am tossing them and getting something else.

I am not 100% impressed with the TruGlo TFOs.

I have Trijicon's on my TRP and they are 5 times brighter at night.

Luckily this gun is my range and comp toy so I don't care.

If I buy a SC you better believe they are getting something other then TFOs.

Mine front fell out about 2 months ago. TruGlo fixed it at no charge.
