Decal grips

Hey guys,

Im wanting to put decal grips on my XD 4inch 9mm. Just wondering if I should get the ones with grit or the rubber ones. What do you guys think?

I was looking at the ones made by A-jax

Thanks!

i personally like the grit ones, either trugrip or traction grips. it all comes down to personal preferance and what you intend to use the gun for.

I prefer the gritty stuff.

I have the same question.

I have pretty sweaty hands... I think the gritty grips would help me the best.

I have the rubbery ones from www.tractiongrips.com and they provide a great grip to my clammy hands.
Only $8.00 delivered. He also has the sand ones. The sandy ones will tear up your hands and holster and sometimes your clothes if you tuck IWB.

How long do the decals stay on or before the edges start to curl?

I assume they leave a sticky residue that can be cleaned off with a light solvent such as GoofOff.

if you plan on concealing IWB then i would agree....dont use the grit ones unless your used to the way they work. they arent so rough that they cut your hands up, atleast they have me.

another suggestion id have for sweaty hands, at a match anyway, is either progrip gel or rosin powder....progrip you can order online and rosin powder you can buy at any sporting store.

Mine have been installed for about 5 months with no problems whatsoever.
Some guys are using a homemade bicycle tube grip.
There is a thread for that somewhere on here.
Just do a search...

I prefer the rubber style -- have them on almost all of my poly-framed guns... Good grip, sweaty palms and all -- best of all there's no holes in any of my dress shirts!
