getting a new flashlight

played with one of these that was a dealer sample a couple weeks ago and finally decided to pull the trigger. Normally I would go out of my way to find something made in the US, but other than surefire and their gold plated pricing table, there really isn't much I've found that will compete with this thing for ~70 bux shipped.

200 lumens strobe to disorient opponent.... blind that suminabich from the other side of the wall.

Well, it came in.

I went to the range last night w/ Ichy and as we were putting the rifles away, it was getting dark. I asked him if he had any spare 123A batteries in his vehicle since this thing didn't come w/ any. We popped the batteries in and hit the switch. My first comment was "Holy ****!" and his was "God Damn!"

It clearly illuminated the target stands at the end of the 100 yd range. It has a very intense spot, but still has a good 60 deg. or so cone of diffusion. It even impressed a cop I ended up talking to last night. I would say if you are looking for a decent mid range price light, don't count these guys out. I'll be using it this weekend on a camp trip so I'll post a more detailed review of it after the weekend.

Yeah no doubt, this thing is AWESOME, I told my wife she can get me one for christmas. This thing isnt much bigger than a Highlighter and throws a beam of light like no other flashlight I have ever seen. When he says it illuminated 100 yard target stands, he is not exagerating.
it took all that I had not to jump in my vehicle with it and speed off

Fenix makes really good lights. I have handled their LOD-CE which is a TINY 1xAAA light and it is amazing as well. Only 50 lumen's (with a regular battery)..compared to your beast, but its unbelievable when used with a Li-Ion cell.

Congrats! Awesome light I hear... so I hope. I just ordered a Fenix P3D Premium 100... anxiously waiting for it's arrival!

Got any in-action pictures?

I had hoped to get some pics and do a better review after this weekend, but my camping trip got aborted by a lag screw in the front tire of my bike. That is the same model I have and I will guarantee you won't be disappointed w/ the light output.

It does get hot so don't accidentally leave it lens down on something or you will burn a hole in it, not that I would know anything about this.

Ah no biggie! I'm expecting mine anytime this week and I'll take your word for it. And thanks for the advice LOL.

I'll let you know how mine goes!

I'll see if I can get something worthwhile in the next couple nights. My photo skillz rather suck, even w/ a good camera so don't expect miracles.

Well, when we're talking about a picture showing how bright a flashlight is or how far the beam shines, I'm not looking for photo of the year quality.
