Mine tends to eat them as well. I store the light with the battery removed, but still only get about and hour of run time out a battery.

They run at around 60 lumens, so the best run time you'll get out of it is around 60 minutes

XD in SC, I've never had issues with a light draining a battery when not in use. You might want to store your batteries in the freezer until you're ready to use them to ensure a fully charged battery when you're ready for a swap out.

Put a fresh battery in and let it sit there for a month, then check it. If it doesn't give you an hour of run time, I'd contact the manufacturer.

Are they accidently being activated? I set fire to a range bag one time with a surefire doing that.

The light sits on my night stand. I haven't turned it on in weeks. I just put a new battery in it before I sat it down last time.

These things are expensive to feed with no use..........

Are they SUREFIRE brand?
I bought some Panasonic ones and they would only give me about 20min run time, and even that was kinda dim.
