Service Model Laser/Light

What do you all recommend for a laser (and preferably laser/light combo) for a Service Model XD (9mm). The only setup i can find that seems to fix properly is the insight X2L and the Lasermax guiderod laser.

Does anyone have any comments about the X2L or another set-up that would work on the service's rail? Alternately, I know the grip laser is in testing, I may have to see how that turns out.

Check out the TLR-2, I have the TLR-1 (light only) and love it.

You might want to check out the lasermax uni max rail mount, It has a rail on it to stack a light, it is a sweet little laser and alot cheaper than the guide rod.

I originally wanted the tlr-2, but it is over twice as long as the rail. Does it still mount solidly?

Same for the UNI, their website says only for rails larger then 1.75", the service has a 1.5", have you tried it on the service?

Hmmmm, I like how low profile the UNI is too.. I may have to see if my range has one so I can see how it looks on the service.

I have an X2L on my xd service 9. I love it! Brighter is always better, but for the size of the light it's definitely enough. It lights up a completely dark room well with a pretty bright hotspot. From one end of my condo I can light up the kitchen wall which is about 35 feet away. I love the way it fits, basically flush with the front of the barrel. Looks cool.
