XD 45 ACP Duty Holster Question
Has anyone come across a duty holster for a XD 45 ACP. I have contacted Safariland and several other companies in reference to a holster that will accept a tactical light. I have found a company that will custom build one but don't really want to spent $250. for custom leather. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I saw the Blade-Tech holsters. The agency that I work for requires that the holster be a black leather basketweave and be at least a Level II in regards to retention.

I know that blade tech makes duty holsters which will accept lights. I would give them a call.

How about the Safariland 6360? It looks like it would work according to their fit matrix.

Holster Fit
Quote:
Well, not really. I've got a Blade-Tech I bought for my XD40 Tactical with a TLR-1 light. I was disappointed to find that, because of the way the TLR-1 fits, (a bit too much space between the triggerguard and the back of the light) the gun does not quite seat all the way and securing the safety strap is a pain. It's plain to see from looking into the bottom of the holster that the light is bottomed-out in it's recess but the pistol slide/muzzle still has about 1/4-3/8 inch of space. This is kinda weird since the Streamlight M3 snaps on right up against the triggerguard and fits the gun/holster perfectly. Streamlight needs to make a rail insert specifically for the XD since none the three that ship with the light position it correctly. No, the Blade-Tech for the XD40 with a light won't fit the XD45. The slide is slightly longer on the XD45 and you cannot get the holster snapped. I am hoping Safariland gets something on the market soon since I'm happy with the ones I have for my SIG and Glock. I'll be sending this holster back to Blade-Tech.
