Anyone have experence with the non-tritium truglo sights?

Considering there's a massive price difference and I don't need to shoot in 100% darkness, I don't really think the TFOs would be a requirement. (The darkest place I need a gun would be under a street light with moderate lighting, which is plenty for fiber optics.)

99.9999% of what the gun is intended for is range work (They still need to be durable though), but I want sights that are fairly fast to get "on" with. I don't care for the white/black contrast with the stock sights, my astigmatism makes it very hard to focus on them.

I plan on shooting mainly the 75ft range.

So any advice?

I have them on my XD 40 for a year now they are fine with direct light on them but on my older eyes i wish I had got the tritium ones, my son put tritium on his XD40 and they were worth the extra money in my opinion.

Trust me, my eyes are probably worse than yours. If it wasn't for the miracle of seiko lenses I would be stuck with bottlecaps.

Smile

Thats why in low light conditions I would have the tritium Tru Glows and will probably have mine changed out, right now my XD is doing bedside duty with a XML light on the rail which solves the problem of low light as it shoots to the light circle at anything under 10 yds. so no problem.
