uh, why would you want a mag that holds 33 rounds hanging out of the bottom of a 3 inch barrel subcompact ?

The 9sc comes with a 10 round and a 16 round
I just ordered 3 more of the 16 rounders

yes there are aftermarket super highcap mags but other than probably giving you more trouble than it's worth for blasting at the range I see no reason to spend $$$ on "junk"

Yes, I just got the XD9SC the other day, it comes with the XD gear, 2 mags...1 is a 10 rounder and the other is a 16 rounder with adapter that extends the grip size to that of the full size XD9. The night I got mine I ordered 3 more of the 16 round/adapter mags and a set of TruGlo TFO sights. The TFO sights IMHO are the best of both worlds...fiber optic for the day, tritiums at night.

I also have 2 of the XD45 Compacts, both of which are set up with the TFO sight...

Promag makes a 20 and 30 mag for the 9mm and a 20rnd mag for the 40SW. They have mixed reviews here for reliability. National Magazine also makes a 20 and 30+ mag. I have not seen any reviews on those magazines.

You can get them from MidwayUSA.

I've seen them at gun shows. They are a novelty. I can't see any practical use for them.

I've read mixed reviews on the mega-capacity (20+ rounds) mags in the XD's. I'd avoid them, since for all practical purposes 15-16 rounds (depending on your high-cap number) is plenty. I've heard of feeding issues with the 20-30 rounders. Since SA doesn't make them specifically for their XD's, maybe that's a sign I don't want one....

When I got my XD-9 subbie it came w/ one 10-round mag and one 15-round mag. I rarely use the 15-rounder anymore. I couldn't imagine using anything longer (20-30 rounds).

The only thing I could see in using a mag like that is if my XD-9 was full-auto.

As for accuracy, the gun is plenty accurate for self-defense distances. It's not designed to be a 50-yard tack driver. It's purpose (in my opinion) is for concealed carry and self-defense shooting (most likely <20 feet away).

I'm still trying to get my groups tighter at 7 yards but my fiancee is very deadly w/ her subbie at that distance.

It all boils down to the person shooting the gun and their abilities. The gun itself is plenty accurate and capable.
