Making my XD-45 Tac truly tactical

Hi guys,

I have an XD-45 ACP Bi-tone Tactical that I want to fully accessorize. I've heard a lot of good things about the Streamlight TLR-2, any thoughts/comments about it's quality? Are there better choices out there for a combination tactical flashlight/laser? Also, I plan on supressing my XD-45 which I'm assuming means getting a longer match barrel, threading it, then mounting the supressor, any recommendations on a good match-grade barrel and supressor?

Thanks ~ Sterling762

I think that Barsto barrels makes a threaded XD.45 5". I have also heard alot of good things about The Evolution silencer from AAC. Heres some links.

Personally I would get new sights, stipple the grip, and work on the trigger and spring before I even thought of doing a bbl. Also I don't see the need for a TLR2 but thats me. I use a TLR1 and love it.

I was curious about supressing my 45 also. I've heard good things about AAC also. Is their an equivilant sub-sonic .45 round like with the 9mm? I'm new to supression, all I know is after I fired a full auto supressed MP5 I was hooked!
BTW I have the TLR-1, just picked it up Friday and shot with it yesterday. I tested it in my dark room and it worked great. RustyNuts on this forum has the TLR-2 and seems to like it.
