convert from .357sig?

Just curious if it was possible to convert my .357sig to any other round. I figure probably 9mm, since the projectiles are basically the same size. I checked EFKFiredragons website, and I didn't see any for this one, but being offshore, I am not able to call them at the moment to verify. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

usually the conversion is the .357 SIG to .40 S&W and vise versa, on most guns it's just a barrel swap.

You can change your 357 Sig to 40 S&W or 9MM if you go to 9mm be sure to get mags for 9MM specific.

Really?

So the OD (outside diameter, not Olive Drab you sickos) of the .357 barrel and the .40 barrel is the same, I thought the .40 would actually be larger being that it used a larger projectile. Could someone give me the measurements on the OD's of both barrels, or have any of you actually done this? Just making sure that this is fact and not hearsay, $150 bucks on a barrel isnt something i wanna do on a whim. Please dont take this personally

I dont have a set of mics at home but I can verify it works, while the 357 Sig fires a 9MM size bullet it has a 40S&W case diameter, I have 4 different XD's, 1 357 Sig service , 2 40S&W Service and 1 45ACP and I change the barrels between the 40 and 357 all the time. I also have EFK conversion barrels in 9MM and 357 Sig and put them in and out of every one except the 45.

You would just have to get a conversion barrel to do it. On the 40 and 357 sig guns, the slide is the same, just stamped differently for each model. 357 barrel has the same outer dimensions as a 40 barrel. To get a 9mm to work, you will need the conversion barrel that has the same outer dimensions as the 40/357 barrels. A "Standard" 9mm XD barrel will not work, as the slides for those have a smaller opening at the muzzle for the smaller barrel.
