XS Big Dots
These might just be what I need for these 'ol baby boomer eye of mine at typical combat distances - 7-10 yards. They'd be going on an XD-45 Compact. Anybody using and how do you like them? Especially interested if you have them on the 45 Compact. Much thanks.

I have them on one of my Sig's and they work as intended and as you mention, 7-10 yards. You can use them at further distances but you loose some precision.

I have them on my G36 carry gun.
I like them, at least for up close and fast shooting.

I have the standard dot night sights on my XD45 and love them. Very fast to acquire. However, I almost wish I would have gone with the big dots for even easier target acquisition.

I tried them 1x on a 1911 - I hated them. I guess everyone has their interests and preferences. But I am not a fan. I like the standard 3 dot setup. Also, don't like the Sig sights.

If you decide you want to try them drop me a PM. I have a set that I tried. I'll give you the XD Talk member discount.
