Need help with an EFK barrel

I bought a 357 Sig conversion barrel for my XD 40. Every now and then I get a round that catches on the ramp and pushes the bullet into the casing. This also causes the slide not to go in to battery. Any advise on how to fix this ? I just dropped the barrel in and tried it. I was told that no modifications were necessary.

Some modifications might be needed for ultimate reliability. Call Frank at EFK and he'll walk you through fitting the barrel properly. Don't be scared, though. It's probably nothing that 5-10 minutes with a nail file can't fix.

polish the feed ramp and polish the area of the frame that the bullet nose travels on

Frank makes a decent product. With that said, I don't care who makes the barrels (even us, PistolGear), I would NEVER run a duty gun with a conversion barrel. It is just one more thing that can go wrong. If you want to carry a .357SIG for duty, spend the $500 and get yourself a .357SIG.

This is my $.02. Stepping down now...

OS

PS: Frank will get you fixed and up and running...
