Comp-tac Infidel vs. Pro Undercover - pictures?

I own the CTAC - great holster. But I'm looking for something with clip for easy on-off when I need it. I like the look of the Infidel but with design of the interchangable clips that scew into place the plastic there looks pretty thick which would add thickness to holster as a whole. The Pro Undercover is a very similar design but I can't tell from the pictures on the website if the clip is molded in and therefore thinner than the Infidel. I don't require the different clip designs of the Infidel because I have the CTAC. Anyone have one, the other, both? Pictures? (especially of the Pro Undercover)

Thanks,

M.

What clips are you using w/ your CTAC? I use the standard clips and I can take it on off no problems...

Wow, I have the exact, same question! I went to order the infidel, but saw the undercover and wondered which was better. They are the same price, so that isn't a factor for me.

Anybody?

In the CTAC I actually use the V-clips, the velcro ones. They are superior in my opinion for holding the rig steady and also for concealability. They are also the worst for easily getting on and off.

I have a cheap (I should say relatively inexpensive) Don Hume IWB leather holster with a metal clip that works pretty well. But the clip is sharp and digs my hand when I reach for my wallet. I also have become a big fan of the speed (easy draw and reholstering) of kydex. I can't carry in my new job and need to be able to take off the whole rig, and put it back on after work. I don't want to be dropping my pants in the parking lot to remove/install the CTAC! So that's why I was considering the Pro Undercover or the Infidel.

Since no one seems to have pictures or much feedback on these holsters I went ahead and placed my order today. I ended up going with the Infidel for a couple of reasons:

The pictures show that the thicker portion of the Infidel, where the clip attaches, actually rides above the belt, so the thickness issue is not part of the equation. Also, a friend who had a pro-undercover type holster where the molded clip is part of the unit, had his break/crack where the clip is folded and gets a lot of stress. The Infidel clip screws on so it would be easier to replace, I would think.

While I was at it I ordered a single mag pouch and a tactcial flashlight pouch. I ended up calling Comp-Tac to place my order because the website doesn't say they carry the single mag pouch for the XD45 or the Surefire E2e flashlight. Tammy, who took my order, assured me they have products for both of those and also said they will be redoing their whole website soon to fix these ommissions.

So I expect the order to arrive by Friday or Saturday. She said everything is in stock and they were on schedule. The last time I ordered from them I had the holster in a couple days. I'll post a report with pictures when it all arrives.

M

This is a little late, but i had the Infidel. It is thicker, does not work well as a shirt tucker and I never liked the belt clip in the quick configuration. It just didn't fit well for me. I had gotten it for the same reasons you are.

I exchanged it for a CTAC with the standard clips and it is much more concealable, comfortable, and slimmer than the Infidel. This is just my experience. BTW I can easily get my standard clips on and off quickly with little problem. My .02
