Is the XD Gear holster IDPA legal.

I was wandering if the xd gear holster that I got in my xd package was IDPA legal, I am extremely fast with this holster and was wandering if it fell within their holster requirements? And also would a uncle mikes 16 be legal?

Go to the IDPA website and look at the rule book. There are several pages of what is legal and what isn't holster wise.

My gut instinct says they aren't legal.

I'll go with MoJo on that one. You have to submit a holster to be approved by IDPA and I doubt Springfield did that. But you may be able to use it in a local match.

IDPA did away with an "approved holster" list in the lastest rule book that goes into effect April 15th. There are now rules for distance away from the body and such that now determines if it is a legal holster. From what I have see, the XD Gear holster may ride too far away from the body And if the cant can be adjusted while its on you belt, it is not allowed. Read over the new rules and be sure.
