Got My Race Sear Today!!

i got my sear and spring from springer today, and already have it installed. this sear was not exactly drop in for my gun. but it only took about 5 min with a little bit of sand paper followed by some emory cloth and it fit right in there. the difference is HUGE about half as much pre travel and a nice light pull to fire.

the only thing i will noticed was the massive amount of over travel, but thats easily fixed.

There's something comforting about looking over in the middle of the night, after your eyes have adjusted. There on the night stand, you see three green dots in a triangle pattern. Either the mouse sized Sam Fisher or my 40 tac with TFO's is there when I need it.

had to remove some metal on both sides of the sear where it touched anything. it fit so tight that whenever you would reassemble the rear of the gun nothing would move.

i used sand paper and emory cloth on the sear and the part that disengages the firing pin safety. didnt have to remove much metal at all, by the way i have an xd45 service.

SWEET! the gun shoots as good as always, but the trigger helps the guy shooting it a ton.

Did you try one-handed shooting and if so, did you see an improvement? That's the area where I notice the long travel and relatively high trigger effort of the stock configuration the most.

no i only shot 1 full mag though it to check function i had grand jury that day and just wanted to make sure everything worked before i carried it for work, didnt have time to to do alot of shooting

and im very happy to say the guy got indited! this guy called me at my second job and threatened to kill my family and me. this guy held his family hostage! and another officer and i went in the house and arrested the guy no use of force was needed. i get a call at work 2 months later at my second job and it was him making these theats to me.

it took this guy 2 months to find out where i work, what cars i drive, what time i get home, and he knew i have a wife and 2 kids all with brown hair. just passing this along for the cop haters on this sight so you guys can see what we have to put up with on a daily basis.

I don't think you'll find any cop-haters here, Chuck.
