entreprise sights?
After handling many different pistols with many different sights, I decided I would like to get a ghost ring sight.
The only one I can find is here: http://www.entreprise.com/SpringfieldXD.htm Does anyone have these? pics? any input on this brand? Obviously, I would be looking at the tritium front and rear. any other manufacturers I should look into? All help appreciated!

I find it hard to believe that nobody out there knows about these. Anyone? I may just go with TFO's if I cant find anything out about these. Don't wanna blow my money on garbage...

I've heard that ghost rings aren't as accurate as traditional 3-dot sights, which is why most competitors don't use them. I've also heard that they're a great deal faster for sight acquisition, which is why many cops use them.
As soon as Entreprise completes their HK USP Compact sights, I'll be buying a set for my USPc and another for my XD.

I've never seen anyone using these; cop or civilian. I've seen the same pair advertised before with that same "blah blah blah, Seal Team 4" b.s. (One spec-op guy's opinion does not sway me, since they use pistols much less then M4's in training. If you want to impress me, get a couple of highly ranked Expert/Grand Master shooters to sign-off on a pair of sight!).
I'd say that the members here are probably right...they could be faster, but probably less accurate. I'm guessing you'd be reducing you effective range on a pistol down to 15 yards or so, just like the XS-Big Dot sights. I'd be a little concerned about all that rear hood blocking the initial aquisition of the front sight though. Keep in mind you can't use Ghost-ring sights in IDPA...don't know why, but if you plan on trying the sport it would be a hassle to swap the sights out. If you're having front sight aquisition problems, I'd first suggest you paint that front blade with some sight paint of your favorate color (I prefer blaze orange). A couple of Expert IDPA shooters that do that at my clubs swear by it for aging eyes. I find that much faster at 10yrds or so, and it doesn't hurt the 20yrd line shooting much either.

Oh, and you should take a look at the SureSights (when they're available again). Excellent for quick acquisition, and very accurate. As for IDPA, I have no idea whether they're legal or not...but they are post-notch sights, right?
