But still, what do you guys think about facing those mags a different direction and position with the Speed Comp Pouch For The XD? It looks like it would eliminate a turning motion with the wrist in a mag change....I'm not promoting it I am really just wondering if this makes a difference so you know. So, what do you guys think?

practice with what you carry. i dont like the idea of changeing the mag angle or positon on the holster because it doesnt feel natural any more.

From those that have tried the pouch reviews have been good. The pouches just look a little on the breakable side to me. As far as turning motion of your hand to get to the mag, I don't see it. I think the standard CR pouches would work fine for you once you understand how to use them. The CR pouches are on sale through Dawson Precision by the way.

These are for the Small frame Glock but fit my Large frame double stack 40 cal mags and Para .45 cal double stack mags as well.

The CR Speed pouches are a universal design. they have an insert thats stays bolted inside of them depending on what you are using. They are the best I have tried so far.

I ran the Speed Comp pouches for a while and liked them well enough. IMO the slight turning motion it eliminates doesn't really give much of an advantage if any at all. The nice thing they do is let you put 5 mags in nice easy reach for a production shooter. To me that's they're biggest upside; if you plan on shooting something like L-10 where you don't have restrictions on the location of the pouches I'd say go with the CR Speed pouches. If you're just shooting Prod then give the Speed Comps a try if you want; I liked them, I just liked the CR pouches better.
