Blackhawk SERPA Question

I picked up a SERPA holster for my new XD9 Service Model. A friend of mine has one for his XD40 Service Model and it fits in the holster tightly and securely. My XD9 however is loose in the holster. I've tried adjusting the tension screw, but the gun isn't loose side-to-side, it's loose front-to-back. Like, it rotates forward and backward in the holster along the trigger guard.

I thought the XD9 and XD40 used the same frame, but maybe I'm wrong. Is it possible I got a holster for an XD40 or XD45 instead of one for an XD9? The box just says Springfield XD on it. Is it possible it's just defective? Any suggestions for making it fit the gun better?

Mine has a slight movement not much. The XD9 and .40 are the same frame. If you have alot of movement go exchange it for a new one.

Funny I was at a local gun shop and tryed 3 different serpa holsters and the fit was the same way, very loose front to back and side to side. Trying to adjust for tension made no differnce. Needless to say I didn't buy it, Just to note I have a 45acp Tac. I thought it would be a snug fit with the 45 verison.

Could the screws in the back where the belt goes through the holster be loose? I have a non-serpa Blackhawk for my G19 and it fits just as snuggly as some of my high dollar holsters.
