Fixed sights > night sights possible?
I currently have a XD-9 SC and was curious if there is a way to swap out the fixed sights for some night sites (or other sights for that matter).

the sights aren't fixed, they are dovetailed in. you can switch them out for night sights. From what I have heard, it is a pain in the butt and best left to someone who knows how to install them on an XD. But it can be done.

yes, there is a lot of info in the SureSight section under sponsors, and PistoGear sells several others.

There are certainly a wide variety of night sights available for the Springfield XD series of handguns. My personal favorites are the Heinie SlantPro night sights.

How much would a gunsmith charge to do this? Are they going to be accurate? Will they stay accurate (not move)?

It depends. Anywhere from $5-$45, more or less. They should stay, if they don't, he wasn't a very good gunsmith. I have heard great things about ajames. He is a sponsor here and I think he does it for $25.
Also, sig sights will fit the XD.

Just had a pair of the Hienie sights installed on my XD-45, love them. I will try and get some pics soon to post here. My smith charged me $30.00 and did a great job....he always curses the tightness of the originals!!
